Yoga is a method of physical training that promotes health and develops balance and harmony in the body, mind, and society. Nowadays, yoga in Vietnam is increasingly involved in improving public health. Yoga is becoming gradually popular and becoming a regular practice in Vietnam.

The birth of Yoga

Yoga was born in ancient India's Everest civilization. Over the course of thousands of years, yoga has spread all over the world, including Vietnam... Most nations and peoples around the world have accepted yoga as a precious gift created to mankind. The discipline of yoga has actually been crystallized and became the cultural elite of mankind.

The United Nations has celebrated June 21 every year as International Yoga Day since 2015. Along with the cultural exchange that has existed for thousands of years between Vietnam and India, the most important thing is that when Buddhism entered Vietnam, yoga, along with monks and merchants, came to Vietnam and was taught and spread first in the community of worshippers and then practiced by some people as a method of cultivation to exploit human potential and cure diseases.

Serious yoga practitioners have received the result of improving health in a comprehensive way beyond expectation. Yoga not only benefits yourself, but also helps others to practice and cure many diseases by increasing the body's resistance with rational exercise and rest, healthy nutrition and focused thinking.

During the process of practicing yoga, each person will also feel a change in their attitude towards life in a more positive way, along with many other benefits that night yoga brings. Yoga has many benefits for people who practice it

Yoga in Vietnam is the sport of the people

As mentioned above, yoga has long been in Vietnam and has grown widely in many countries and now covers most of the territory of Vietnam. In the past 5 years, with the pressure of life, many young people have realized the benefits of yoga and are increasingly participating in it to help their lives become balanced between body and spirit.

Yoga is a system of exercises that are organized and selected to suit the individual. Maybe there won't be a person who doesn't practice yoga even with a defective body. With these people, it's still possible to choose the tasks properly. With more than 8,000 asana poses when arranged and combined into different exercises will make a lot of work. Some basic people-to-people exercises are called community-tools, depending on the individual's fitness, age, and gender that the coaches will compile. In addition, each yoga pose has a different meaning to directly impact the body such as good for the digestive system, circulation, breathing, especially the spirit.

Yoga is a method of optimum mental and health training. With this discipline, practitioners can practice at home without a crowd of people and without the need for large-scale and modern training support equipment.

According to the Yoga Federation of Vietnam, currently there are thousands of yoga clubs in the country, with hundreds of thousands practicing regularly. There are more than 70 organizational members and over 300 official individual members, as well as many clubs, yoga groups that have been born with millions of people participating in the practice

Besides, just like other sports, yoga is being aimed at becoming a competitive sport at home and internationally. Yoga practitioners are talented, and selected people who practice according to their own curriculum. Nowadays, Yoga is becoming increasingly attractive and more and more people are practicing it.
